So I prophesied as I was commanded, and the breath came into them; they lived and stood on their feet, an extremely great army.

Fool! What you sow will not come to life unless it dies. And what you sow is not the body that is to be, but a bare seed -- perhaps of wheat or something else.

The same day Sadducees (who say there is no resurrection) came to him and asked him,

(For the Sadducees say there is no resurrection, or angel, or spirit, but the Pharisees acknowledge them all.)

Now some Sadducees (who contend that there is no resurrection) came to him.

No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.

Now this is the will of the one who sent me -- that I should not lose one person of every one he has given me, but raise them all up at the last day. I tell you the solemn truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains by itself alone. But if it dies, it produces much grain.

But someone will say, "How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?" Fool! What you sow will not come to life unless it dies. And what you sow is not the body that is to be, but a bare seed -- perhaps of wheat or something else. read more.
But God gives it a body just as he planned, and to each of the seeds a body of its own. All flesh is not the same: People have one flesh, animals have another, birds and fish another. And there are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies. The glory of the heavenly body is one sort and the earthly another. Why do you people think it is unbelievable that God raises the dead?

It is the same with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable, what is raised is imperishable.
