Lot Leaves Sodom, And The Cities Are Destroyed

¹³ We will destroy the city completely. The stench of the place has reached Jehovah. He has sent us to destroy it. ¹⁴ Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who were to marry his daughters, and said, “Up, get out of this place, for the Lord will destroy the city.” But he appeared to his sons-in-law to be jesting. ¹⁵ At dawn the next morning the angels became insistent. They said to Lot: Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here. Get out of here right now, or you will be caught in the destruction of the city.
