Jeremiah 23:1

Woe To The Evil Shepherds

¹ “Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of My pasture!” declares the Lord. ² This is what Jehovah the God of Israel says concerning the shepherds who are tending my people: You have scattered my flock and driven them away. You have not attended to them. I am about to attend to you for the evil of your deeds, says Jehovah.

Jeremiah 10:21

The shepherds are foolish. They do not look to Jehovah for help. That is why they will not succeed and all their flocks will be scattered.

Jeremiah 2:8

The priests did not ask: 'Where is Jehovah? Those who deal with my Law did not know me. The rulers rebelled against me. The prophets prophesied in the name of Baal and followed things that could not help (profit) them.'

This is what Jehovah the God of Israel says concerning the shepherds who are tending my people: You have scattered my flock and driven them away. You have not attended to them. I am about to attend to you for the evil of your deeds, says Jehovah.

The prophets and priests are godless. Even in my Temple I have found them doing evil, declares Jehovah.

Jeremiah 25:34-36

Ezekiel 22:25-29
