Jeremiah 48:26

A Message Concerning Moab

²⁵ Moab’s horn is chopped off; his arm is shattered.”

This is the Lord’s declaration. ²⁶ “Make him drunk, because he has exalted himself against the Lord. Moab will wallow in his own vomit, and he will also become a laughingstock. ²⁷ Wasn’t Israel a laughingstock to you? Was he ever found among thieves? For whenever you speak of him you shake your head.”

Isaiah 19:14

The Lord has mixed within her a spirit of confusion.
The leaders have made Egypt stagger in all she does,
as a drunkard staggers in his vomit.

they stagger, but not with beer.

Jeremiah 48:42

Moab will be destroyed as a people
because he has exalted himself against the Lord.

Then they will fall asleep forever
and never wake up.
This is the Lord’s declaration.

Exodus 5:2

But Pharaoh responded, “Who is Yahweh that I should obey Him by letting Israel go? I do not know anything about Yahweh, and besides, I will not let Israel go.”
