Praise For Deliverance
1 ([Psalm of David]) I love you, O Jehovah, my strength.
1 {To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, the servant of the LORD, who spake unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul: And he said,} I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.
1 For the choir director. A Psalm of David the servant of the Lord, (a)who spoke to the Lord the words of this song in the day that the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. And he said,“I love You, O Lord, (A)my strength.”
1 For the choir director. Of the servant of the Lord, David, who spoke the words of this song to the Lord on the day the Lord rescued him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul.(A) He said:I love You, Lord, my strength.
1 He said: "I love you, Lord, my strength.
2 Jehovah is my rock and my fortress. He is my deliverer. He is my God and my crag, the one in whom I take refuge. He is my shield, and the strength of my salvation, my stronghold.
2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
2 The Lord is (B)my (b)rock and (C)my fortress and my (D)deliverer,My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge;My (E)shield and the (F)horn of my salvation, my (G)stronghold.

6 I called on Jehovah in my distress. I cried to my God for help. He heard my voice from his temple, and my cry for help reached his ears.
6 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

7 Then the earth shook and quaked. Even the foundations of the mountains trembled. They shook violently because he was angry.

8 Smoke went up from his nostrils. A raging fire came out of his mouth. Glowing coals were kindled by it.
8 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.

8 In his anger smoke poured out of his nostrils, and consuming fire from his mouth; coals were lit from it.
11 He made the darkness his hiding place, his pavilion round about, the dark rain clouds his covering.
11 He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.

13 Jehovah thundered in the heavens. The Most High made his voice heard with hailstones and lightning.
13 The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire.

13 Then the LORD thundered in the heavens, and the Most High sounded aloud, calling for hail stones and flashes of fire.
14 He shot his arrows and scattered them. He flashed streaks of lightning to agitate (disturb and trouble) them.
14 Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.

15 The ocean floor could be seen. The foundations of the earth were laid bare at your stern warning, O Jehovah, at the blast of the breath from your nostrils.
15 Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.
15 Then the (AC)channels of water appeared,And the foundations of the world were (i)laid bareAt Your (AD)rebuke, O Lord,At the blast of the (AE)breath of Your nostrils.
15 The depths of the sea became visible,the foundations of the world were exposed,at Your rebuke, Lord,at the blast of the breath of Your nostrils.(S)
15 Then the channels of the sea could be seen, and the foundations of the earth were uncovered because of your rebuke, LORD, because of the blast from the breath of your nostrils.
17 He rescued me from my strong enemy and from those who hated me, because they were too strong for me.
17 He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.

20 Jehovah rewarded me because of my righteousness, because my hands are clean. He paid me back.
20 The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.

20 The LORD will reward me because I am righteous; because my hands are clean he will restore me;
24 Jehovah paid me back because of my righteousness. He can see that my hands are clean.
24 Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.
24 Therefore the Lord has (AV)recompensed me according to my righteousness,According to the cleanness of my hands in His eyes.

25 In dealing with faithful people you are faithful. With innocent people you are innocent.
25 With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright;
25 With the faithfulYou prove Yourself faithful;with the blameless manYou prove Yourself blameless;
25 To the holy, you show your gracious love, to the upright, you show yourself upright;
30 God's way is perfect! The word of Jehovah has proven to be true. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.
30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
30 As for God, His way is (n)(BG)blameless;The (BH)word of the Lord is tried;He is a (BI)shield to all who take refuge in Him.

35 You have given me the shield of your salvation. Your right hand supports me. Your gentleness (humility) (meekness) makes me great.
35 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.

39 You armed me with strength for battle. You made my opponents bow at my feet.

40 You made my enemies turn their backs to me. I destroyed those who hated me.

41 They cried out for help, but there was no one to save them. They cried out to Jehovah, but he did not answer them.

43 You rescued me from my conflicts with the people. You made me the leader of nations. A people I did not know will serve me:
43 Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me.
43 You have delivered me from the (CH)contentions of the people;You have placed me as (CI)head of the nations;A (CJ)people whom I have not known serve me.
43 You have freed me from the feuds among the people;You have appointed me the head of nations;(BH)a people I had not known serve me.(BI)
43 You rescued me from conflict with the people; you made me head of the nations. People who did not know me will serve me.
48 He saves me from my enemies. You lift me up above my opponents. You rescue me from violent people.
48 He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.

49 That is why I will give thanks to you, O Jehovah, among the nations and make music to praise your name.
49 Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.
49 Therefore I will (CV)give thanks to You among the nations, O Lord,And I will (CW)sing praises to Your name.
49 Therefore, I will give thanks to you among the nations, LORD; I will sing praises to your name.
50 He gives great victories to his king. He shows mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his descendants forever.
50 Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.
