'Day of the Lord' in the Bible

They will throw their silver into the streets,and their gold will seem like something filthy.Their silver and gold will be unable to save themin the day of the Lord’s wrath.They will not satisfy their appetitesor fill their stomachs,for these were the stumbling blocksthat brought about their iniquity.

Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD.

“Nevertheless, I will restore them [again] from their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters (outlying cities), the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, and along with them [I will restore you from] your own captivity [in the day of the Lord God],

For the day is near, even the day of the LORD is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen.
