'In the Wilderness' in the Bible

The angel of the LORD found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shur.

Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread and a bottle of water, and gave it to Hagar, putting it on her shoulder; and gave her the child, and sent her away. She departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.

God was with the boy, and he grew. He lived in the wilderness, and became, as he grew up, an archer.

He lived in the wilderness of Paran. His mother took a wife for him out of the land of Egypt.

Moses led Israel onward from the Sea of Suf, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.

The whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron in the wilderness;

This is the reason Joshua circumcised: all the people who came out of Egypt, who were males, even all the men of war, died in the wilderness by the way, after they came out of Egypt.

For all the people who came out were circumcised; but all the people who were born in the wilderness by the way as they came out of Egypt had not been circumcised.

For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, until all the nation, even the men of war who came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they did not listen to the voice of the LORD. Behold, the land of the Chaldeans. This people was not. The Assyrians founded it for those who dwell in the wilderness. They set up their towers. They overthrew its palaces. They made it a ruin.

Then justice will dwell in the wilderness; and righteousness will remain in the fruitful field.

Then the lame man will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will sing; for waters will break out in the wilderness, and streams in the desert.

The voice of one who calls out, "Prepare the way of the LORD in the wilderness. Make a level highway in the desert for our God.
