'Says the Lord' in the Bible
Heaven is my throne, and the earth my footstool; what house will you build me, says the Lord, or what is the place of my rest?
that the rest of men may seek the Lord, even all the nations on whom my name has been called, says the Lord who does these things,
not vindicating yourselves, beloved, but give place to wrath; for it is written, Judgment is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.
For it is written, [As] I live, says the Lord, to me every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess to God.
For it is written in the law, With other tongues, and with other lips will I speak to this people, and so they shall not understand me, says the Lord.
Go out therefore from among them, and be separate, says the Lord, and touch not the impure; and I will receive you,
and will be to you a father, and you shall be to me sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.
For finding fault with them he says, Behold, the days come, says the Lord, that I will make with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, a new covenant,
not according to the covenant which I made with their fathers, in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, for they continued not in my covenant, and I neglected them, says the Lord.
This is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord; I will put my laws in their minds, and will write them in their hearts, and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people.
I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God; the Is, and the Was, and the Is to come, the Almighty.
