'Scripture Says' in the Bible

and again another Scripture says, They shall look on him whom they have pierced.

For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, For this same cause I raised you up, to show my power in you, and that my name may be declared in all the earth.

For the Scripture says, No one that believes in him shall be ashamed.

God has not cast away his people whom he foreknew. Know you not what the Scripture says in Elijah, how he intercedes with God against Israel?

For the Scripture says, You shall not muzzle the ox that threshes; and, The laborer is worthy of his reward.

Or do you suppose that the Scripture says in vain, The spirit which dwells in us desires to envy?
