Why should you be stricken any more? you will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he has stretched forth his hand against them, and has stricken them: and the hills did tremble, and their dead bodies were as refuse in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

In the city is left desolation, and the gate is stricken with destruction.

From the time that it goes forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a terror just to understand the report.

Your heart shall meditate the terror. Where is the scribe? where is the one who weighs? where is he that counts the towers?

In righteousness shall you be established: you shall be far from oppression; for you shall not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near you.

Has he struck him, as he struck those that struck him? or is he slain according to the slaughter of them that are slain by him?

And the LORD shall strike Egypt: he shall strike and heal it: and they shall return even to the LORD, and he shall be entreated by them, and shall heal them.
