The servant girl saw him and again told those who were standing around, "This man is one of them!"

At that moment the cock crowed for the second time. Then Peter remembered how Jesus had told him, "Before the cock crows twice you will disown me thrice;" and he burst into tears.

“Don’t be alarmed,” he told them. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has been resurrected! He is not here! See the place where they put Him.

But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you."

And they fled out of the tomb, for they were all trembling and bewildered, and they said nothing about it to anyone, for they were afraid to do so. And she went, and told them that were with him, as they mourned and wept.

But they, when they were told that He was alive and that she had seen Him, could not believe it.

And they went, and told it to the remnant. And they believed them neither.

Then he told them, "As you go into the entire world, proclaim the gospel to everyone.
