When the master of the house shall have risen up and shut the door, and ye begin to stand without and knock at the door saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and He shall answer and say to you, I know you not, whence ye are:

But Peter stood at the door without: the other disciple therefore, who was known to the high-priest, went out and spake to her that kept the door, and brought Peter in.

And knowing Peter's voice, through excess of joy she did not open the door, but ran in and told them, that Peter was standing at the door.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any one hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

and he from within shall answer and say, Do not be troublesome; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed, I cannot rise to give thee.

ye yourselves like men waiting for their lord's return from a wedding, that they may immediately open the door to him, when he comes and knocks.

Then saith the maid, that kept the door, to Peter, Art not thou also one of this man's disciples? and he said, I am not.

And when Herod was about to bring him forth, that very night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the guards at the door watched the prison.

And when Peter knocked at the door of the porch, a servant named Rhoda came to ask who was there.

But Peter continued knocking; and when they opened the door, they saw him, and were astonished.

And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they related what God had done by them, and how he had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles.

Now while Peter was doubting in himself what might be the meaning of the vision which he had seen, behold the men that were sent from Cornelius, having enquired for Simon's house, stood at the door;

But I shall stay at Ephesus till Pentecost. For a great and effectual door is opened to me,

So that when I came to Troas on account of the gospel of Christ, and a door was opened to me in the Lord,

Praying at the same time for us also, that God would open to us a door of utterance, to declare the mystery of Christ, for which also I am in bonds: that I may make it manifest, as I ought.
