Come now, ye who say, "To-day or to-morrow we will go into this city, and spend one year there, and trade, and get gain,"

But a certain one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said, "Ye know nothing at all;

But, beloved, let not this one thing escape you, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, not the very likeness of the things, can never, with the same sacrifices, which they offer year by year continually, perfect those who come to them;

But in these sacrifices there is a remembrance of sins year by year;
