But the Most High dwells not in places made with hands; as says the prophet,

nor in order that he should offer himself often, as the high priest enters into the holy places every year with blood not his own;

Every gorge shall be filled up, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low, and the crooked places shall become a straight path, and the rough places smooth ways,

Beware of the scribes, who like to walk about in long robes, and who love salutations in the market-places, and first seats in the synagogues, and first places at suppers;
