no man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten son, who is intimate with the father, hath made him known.

for God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have eternal life.

by this was the love of God displayed towards us, in that God sent his only begotten son into the world, that we might live thro' him.
