Ask him; he is of age; he will speak for himself." These things said his parents, because they were fearing the Jews; for the Jews had agreed already, that, if any one should confess Him to be Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue. On this account, his parents said, "He is of age; ask him." Therefore, they called a second time the man who was blind, and said to him, "Give glory to God: we know that this Man is a sinner." He, therefore, answered, "Whether He is a sinner, I know not: one thing I know, that, though I was blind, now I see." They said, therefore, to him, "What did He do to you? how did He open your eyes?" He answered them, "I told you already, and ye did not hear; why do ye wish to hear it again? Do ye also wish to become His disciples?" And they reviled him, and said, "You are His disciple; but we are disciples of Moses. We know that God hath spoken to Moses; but, as to this Man, we know not whence He is."
