Then he said to his disciples: The harvest is abundant, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.

He said, therefore, to them: The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; pray, therefore, the Lord of the harvest that he send out laborers into his harvest.

Now I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me, in your prayers to God for me, that I may be delivered from the unbelievers in Judea, and that this service of mine, which is for Jerusalem, may be acceptable to the saints; that I may come to you with joy, by the will of God, and may be refreshed among you.

praying with all prayer and supplication, at all times, in the Spirit; and to this end being watchful in all perseverance, and supplication for all the saints: and for me, that speech may be given me, in opening my mouth with boldness, that I may make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

for I know that this will result in my benefit through your supplication, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

Persevere in prayer, and be watchful in the same with thanksgiving; praying at the same time also for us, that God may open for us a door of utterance to speak the mystery of the Christ, for which I am in bonds, that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.

Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run and be glorified even as among you; and that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men; for all have not the disposition for faith.

At the same time, also, prepare me a lodging: for I hope that through the prayers of you all, I may be given to you.

Pray for us: for we trust that we have a good conscience, willing to live honor ably in all things. And I the more earnestly entreat you to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.

in love to the brotherhood, be kindly affectionate one to another; in showing honor, be examples one to another; in what requires diligence, be not slothful; in spirit, be fervent; in service, be devoted to the Lord; in hope, be joyful; in affliction, be patient; in prayer, be per severing;

And take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts become heavy with reveling and drunkenness and the cares of life, and that day come upon you when you look not for it. For as a snare, it shall come on all that dwell on the face of all the land. Watch, therefore, and pray at all times, that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

And when he came to the place, he said to them: Pray, that you enter not into temptation.

But I say to you that hear: Love your enemies; do good to them that hate you; bless them that curse you; pray for them that abuse you.

You have heard that it was said: You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy. But I say to you, Love your enemies: bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who insult you and persecute you:

Is any one among you sick? let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil, in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith shall save the sick; and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another, that you may be restored to health: the fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

I exhort, therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings, and for all that are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and gravity. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
