But my righteous one will live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul is not well pleased with him."

For if, [after they] have escaped from the defilements of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and they are again entangled in these [things] [and] succumb to [them], the last [state] has become worse for them than the first.


But my righteous one will live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul is not well pleased with him."


For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For the righteousness of God is revealed in it from faith to faith, just as it is written, "But the one who is righteous by faith will live."



By faith Abel offered to God a greater sacrifice than Cain, by which he was approved that he was righteous, [because] God approved [him] for his gifts, and through it he still speaks, [although he] is dead.

For what does the scripture say? "And Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him for righteousness."





For you have need of endurance, in order that [after you] have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised. For yet "a very, very little [while], [and] the one who is coming will come and will not delay. But my righteous one will live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul is not well pleased with him."
