Hearken unto me O Jacob, and Israel whom I have called. I am even he that is, I am the first and the last.
For Moses said unto the fathers, 'A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you, even of your brethren, like unto me: him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
The LORD thy God will stir up a Prophet among you: even of thy brethren, like unto me, and unto him ye shall hearken
This is that Moses which said unto the children of Israel, 'A prophet shall the Lord God raise up unto you, of your brethren, like unto me: him shall ye hear.'
Come to the waters, all ye that be thirsty, and ye that have no money. Come buy, that ye may have to eat. Come buy wine and milk, without any money, or money worth. Wherefore do ye lay out your money, for the thing that feedeth not, and spend your labour about the thing that satisfieth you not? For heaven shall vanish away as smoke, and the earth shall wear away as a vesture, and the inhabiters thereof shall perish away after the same manner: but my salvation shall endure ever, and my righteousness shall not perish. Well is him that standeth always in awe; as for him that hardeneth his heart, he shall fall into mischief.
Their heart is divided, therefore will they be destroyed. The LORD shall break down their Images, he shall destroy their altars.
A wavering minded man is unstable in all his ways.
But let him ask in faith, and waver not. For he that doubteth is like the waves of the sea, tossed of the wind, and carried with violence.
They talk of vanity every one with his neighbour; they do but flatter with their lips, and dissemble in their double heart.
And the people also of Ephraim, and they that dwell in Samaria, can say with pride and high stomachs, on this manner:

Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low: And crooked things shall be made straight: and the rough ways shall be made smooth. And all flesh shall see the saviour sent of God."
The LORD hath declared his salvation, and his righteousness hath he openly showed in the sight of the heathen.

Be ye not like to horse and mule, which have no understanding, whose mouths must be held with bit and bridle, if they will not obey thee.
Howbeit, I knew that thou art obstinate, and that thy neck hath an iron vein, and thy brow is of brass.
And not to be as their forefathers, a faithless and stubborn generation, a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not true toward God.

The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein. His work is worthy to be praised and had in honour, and his righteousness endureth forever.
