I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine-dresser. Every branch in me that bears no fruit, he takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Now are you pure, through the word which I have spoken to you. read more.
Abide in me, and I will abide in you. As the branch can not bear fruit of itself, unless it abide in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. Then Jesus said to them: Verily, verily I say to you, Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you have no life in you. He that eats my flesh and drinks my blood, has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day; for my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. read more.

Philip said to him: Lord, show us the Father, and we shall be content. Jesus said to him: Have I been so long with you, and have you not known me, Philip? He that has seen me, has seen the Father; and how say you, Show us the Father? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, we have confidence to ward God, and whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments, and do the things that are pleasing in his sight. for though he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.
