And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into the mountain apart to pray. And when evening came, he was there alone. And Peter went down from the ship, and walked upon the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind strong, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying: Lord, save me. And Jesus immediately stretched out his hand, and took hold of him, and said to him: you of little faith, why did you doubt? And when they had entered the ship, the wind ceased. And they that were in the ship came and worshiped him, saying: Truly, thou art the Son of God.
And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were alarmed, and said: It is a specter! and they cried out for fear. But Jesus immediately spoke to them, and said: Take courage; it is I; be not afraid. And Peter answered him, and said: Lord, if it be thou, bid me come to thee on the water. And he said: Come. Then they willingly received him into the ship; and immediately the ship was at the land to which they were going.
