Moses indeed said, "A prophet will the Lord your God raise up to you from among your brethren, as be raised up me; him shall ye hear in all things, whatever he shall speak to you.

This is the Moses who said to the sons of Israel, "A prophet will God raise up to you from among your brethren, as he raised up me."

And what was sown on the good ground, this is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; who also beareth fruit, and yieldeth, one a hundred fold, another sixty, another thirty fold.

And these are they who are sown on the good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it; and bear fruit, thirty, sixty, and a hundred fold.

But the seeds on the good ground, these are they who in an honest and good heart, when they have heard the word, hold it fast, and bear fruit with constancy.

And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God: I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot; I would thou wert cold or hot. Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest haply we let them slip.

And into whatever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat what is set before you, and heal the sick that are therein, and say to them, The kingdom of God hath come near to you. And I tell you, that it will be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city. Woe to thee, Chorazin! woe to thee, Bethsaida! for if the miracles that were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would long ago have repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment, than for you. And thou, Capernaum! shalt thou be exalted to heaven? thou shalt be brought down to the underworld. He that hearkeneth to you, hearkeneth to me; and he that rejecteth you, rejecteth me; but he that rejecteth me, rejecteth him that sent me.

And he calleth to him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over the unclean spirits; and commanded them that they should take nothing for the way but a staff only; no bread, no bag, no money in their girdle; but to be shod with sandals; and, Do not put on two coats. read more.

For there are many unruly vain talkers and deceivers, especially they of the circumcision; whose mouths must be stopped, since they overturn whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of base gain. This testimony is true; for which cause rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith, not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men who turn away from the truth.

They are of the world; therefore they speak of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God; he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth us not. Faith then cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

But he said to him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, they will not be persuaded, though one should rise from the dead.

in whom we also obtained the inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will,

to open their eyes that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and an inheritance among the sanctified, by faith in me.

to an inheritance imperishable, and undefiled, and unfading, reserved in heaven for you,

And now I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, who is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all the sanctified.

knowing that from the Lord ye will receive the recompense of the inheritance; serve Christ as your Lord.

For not through the Law was the promise made to Abraham or his offspring that he should be the heir of the world, but through the righteousness of faith.

and if ye belong to Christ, then are ye Abrahams offspring, heirs according to the promise.

and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and fellowheirs with Christ; if indeed we are suffering with him, that we may also be glorified with him.

So then thou art no longer a bondservant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?
