"Learn a similitude of the fig tree: when his branches are yet tender, and his leaves sprung, ye know that summer is nigh. Then said he to the people, "When ye see a cloud rise out of the west straightway ye say, 'We shall have a shower,' and so it is. And when ye se the south wind blow, ye say, 'We shall have heat,' and it cometh to pass. Hypocrites, ye can skill of the fashion of the earth, and of the sky: but what is the cause, that ye cannot skill of this time?

And he showed them a similitude, "Behold the fig tree, and all other trees, when they shoot forth their buds, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is then nigh at hand. So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, understand that the kingdom of God is nigh. read more.
