And, when He ceased speaking, He said to Simon, "Put out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught." And Simon, answering, said, "Master, having toiled through the whole night, we took nothing; but at Thy word I will let down the nets." And, doing this, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes; and their nets were breaking. read more.
And they beckoned to their partners in the other boat, to come and help them. And they came, and filled both the boats, so that they were sinking. And Simon Peter, seeing it, fell down at the knees of Jesus, saying, "Depart from me; because I am a sinful man, O Lord;"

But, morning now coming on, Jesus stood on the beach; yet the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. Jesus, therefore, saith to them, "Little children, have ye anything to eat?" They answered Him, "No." And He said to there, "Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and ye shall find." They cast it, therefore; and no longer were they able to draw it, for the multitude of the fishes. read more.
That disciple, therefore, whom Jesus loved, says to Peter, "It is the Lord!" Simon Peter, therefore, having heard that it was the Lord, girded his outer garment (for he was naked), and cast himself into the sea. But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from the land, but about two hundred cubits distant), dragging the net full of fishes. When, therefore, they went out upon the land, they see a fire of coals there, and fish lying thereon, and bread. Jesus saith to them, "Bring of the fishes which ye just now caught." Simon Peter, therefore, went aboard, and drew the net to the land, full of great fishes, a hundred and fifty and three; and, though there were so many, the net was not rent.




"Every one, therefore, who hears these words of Mine, and does them, shall be likened to a prudent man, who, indeed, built his house upon the rock;

And the disciples, going and doing as Jesus commanded them,

And the disciples did as Jesus directed them, and prepared the passover.

"Every one who comes to Me, and hears My words, and does them, I will show you to whom he is like:

Jesus saith to them, "Fill the waterpots with water." And they filled them up to the brim.

And she, when she heard it, arose quickly, and went to Him.


And He said to there, "Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and ye shall find." They cast it, therefore; and no longer were they able to draw it, for the multitude of the fishes.

And, coming near, they awoke Him, saying, "Master, Master, we perish!" And, having arisen, He rebuked the wind and the raging of the water; and they ceased, and it became calm.

And Jesus said, "Who is it that touched Me?" And, when all were denying, Peter said, "Master, the multitudes are thronging Thee, and hard pressing Thee!"

And it came to pass, as they were parting from Him, that Peter said to Jesus, "Master, it is good that we are here; and let us make three tents; one for Thee, one for Moses, and one for Elijah;" not knowing what he was saying.

And John, answering, said, "Master, we saw one casting out demons in Thy name; and we forbade him, because he follows not with us."

and they lifted up their voice, saying, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!"


And, walking by the sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishers. And, having gone on thence, He saw other two brothers: James a son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and He called them; and they, having immediately left the boat and their father, followed Him.

Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast words of eternal life. And we have believed and know, that Thou art the Holy One of God."

And, passing along by the sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew, Simon's brother, casting a net in the sea; for they were fishers. And Jesus said to them, "Come after Me, and I will make you to become fishers of men." And straightway, leaving the nets, they followed Him. read more.

but, that we may not cause them to stumble; having gone to the sea, cast a hook, and take up the fish first coming up; and, opening its mouth, you will find a shekel; taking that, give it to them for Me and you."

And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, so that the boat was being covered by the waves; but He was sleeping. And, coming to Him, they awoke Him, saying, "Lord, save; we are perishing!" And He saith to them, "Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?" Then, having arisen, He rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. read more.
And the men wondered, saying, "What manner of Man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him!" And, when He came to the other side, into the country of the Gadarenes, there met Him two demoniacs, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no one could pass along that way; and, behold, they cried out, saying, "What is there to us and to Thee, O Son of God? Didst Thou come here to torment us before the time?" Now there was afar off from them a herd of many swine feeding. And the demons were entreating Him, saying, "If Thou cast us out, send us away into the herd of swine." And He said to them, "Go." And, having come out, they went away into the swine; and, behold, the whole herd rushed down the steep into the sea, and died in the waters!

And straightway He constrained the disciples to enter into a boat, and to go before Him to the other side, while He should dismiss the multitudes. And, having dismissed the multitudes, He went up into the mountain, apart, to pray; and, evening coming on, He was there alone. But the boat was now in the midst of the sea, distressed by the waves; for the wind was contrary. read more.
And, in the fourth watch of the night, He came to them, walking on the sea. And the disciples, seeing Him walking on the sea, were troubled, saying, "It is a ghost!" And they cried out for fear. But Jesus straightway spake to them, saying, "Be of good cheer. It is I; be not afraid." And Peter, answering Him, said, "Lord, if it be Thou, bid me come to Thee on the water." And He said, "Come." And, going down from the boat, Peter walked upon the water, and came to Jesus. But, seeing the wind, he was frightened; and, beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!" And immediately Jesus, stretching forth His hand, took hold of him, and saith to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?" And, when they went up into the boat, the wind ceased. And these in the boat worshiped Him, saying, "Truly Thou art God's Son."

And there arises a great storm of wind, and the waves were beating into the boat, so that the boat was now being filled. And He Himself was in the stern, sleeping on the cushion; and they awake Him, and say to Him, "Teacher, is it no concern to Thee that we perish?" And, having been roused up, He rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace! be still!" And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

Now it came to pass, as the multitude was pressing upon Him, and hearing the word of God, that He was standing by the lake Gennesaret; and He saw two boats standing by the lake; but the fishermen, having gone out of them, were washing their nets. And, entering into one of the boats, which was Simon's, He asked him to put out a little from the land; and, having taken a seat, He was teaching the multitudes out of the boat. read more.

And, coming near, they awoke Him, saying, "Master, Master, we perish!" And, having arisen, He rebuked the wind and the raging of the water; and they ceased, and it became calm.

After these things Jesus manifested Himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and He manifested Himself in this manner. There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathaniel of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples. Simon Peter says to them, "I am going away to fish." They say to him, We also are coming with you." They went forth, and entered into a boat; and in that night they caught nothing. read more.
