Now the apostles returned and told Jesus all that they had done. Then He took them and privately retired to a town called Bethsaida.


Then Jesus left there and went to the shore of the sea of Galilee. Then He went up the hill and kept sitting there,

Six days after this, Jesus took Peter and James and his brother John, and led them up on a high mountain, by themselves.

And as Jesus was about to go up to Jerusalem, He took the twelve disciples aside, and said to them while on the road,

And He said to them, "Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and rest a little while." For there was an endless stream of people coming and going, and they had no time even to eat.

Then He left there and went into the neighborhood of Tyre and Sidon. He went into a house and wanted no one to know that He was there. But He could not escape public notice.

And He Himself withdrew about a stone's throw from them, and after kneeling down He continued to pray,


So when He got out of the boat and saw a great crowd, His heart was moved with pity for them, and He cured their sick people.

Then Jesus left there and went to the shore of the sea of Galilee. Then He went up the hill and kept sitting there, and great crowds came up to Him bringing with them the lame, the crippled, the blind, the deaf, and many others. They laid them at His feet, and He cured them, so that the crowd was astonished to see the dumb talking, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. So they praised the God of Israel.


And a Canaanite woman of that district came out and pleaded, saying, "Do pity me, Lord, Son of David; my daughter is suffering horrors from a demon." But He did not answer her a word. And His disciples came up and kept begging Him, "Send her away, for she keeps on screaming after us." But He answered, "I have been sent only to the lost sheep of Israel's house." read more.
But she came and bowed to Him, and kept praying, "Lord, help me!" He answered, "It is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the house dogs." She said, "Yes, Lord, and yet the house dogs usually eat the crumbs that fall from their master's table." Then Jesus answered her, "O woman, wonderful is your faith! You must have what you want." And her daughter was cured at that very moment. Then Jesus left there and went to the shore of the sea of Galilee. Then He went up the hill and kept sitting there,

On the contrary, a woman, whose little daughter had a foul spirit, at once heard about Him and came and flung herself at His feet. She was a heathen who spoke Greek and had been born in Syro-Phenicia. And she kept begging Him to drive the demon out of her daughter. But He was saying to her, "Let the children first eat all they want, for it is not right to take the children's bread and throw it out to the house dogs." read more.
But she answered Him, "Yes, Lord, and yet the house dogs under the table usually eat the crumbs the children drop." Then He said to her, "Because you have said this, go home; the demon has gone out of your daughter." She went home and found her daughter lying in bed, and the demon gone out.

So great crowds followed Him, from Galilee and Decapolis, from Jerusalem and Judea, and from the other side of Jordan.

Now after John was arrested, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God:

He left the neighborhood of Tyre and went by way of Sidon through the district of the Ten Cities down to the Sea of Galilee. And they brought to Him a man who was deaf and almost dumb, and they begged Him to lay His hand upon him. So He took him off from the crowd by himself and put His fingers in his ears and touched his tongue with saliva. read more.
Then He looked up to heaven and sighed, as He said, "Ephphatha," which means, "Be opened." And his ears were opened and his tongue was untied, and he began to speak distinctly. Then He charged them not to tell anybody about it, but the more He kept charging them, the more they kept spreading the news. So the people were overwhelmingly dumbfounded, and kept saying, "How wonderfully He has done everything! He even makes deaf people hear and dumb people talk."


So when He got out of the boat and saw a great crowd, His heart was moved with pity for them, and He cured their sick people.
