Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. And I say to you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God. Hereby ye know the spirit of God: every spirit which confesseth Jesus Christ come in the flesh, is of God. And every spirit which confesseth not Jesus Christ come in the flesh, is not of God: and this is that spirit of Antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and now already it is in the world.

Nevertheless many even of the rulers believed on him, but they did not confess him, because of the Pharisees, lest they should be put out of the synagogue. For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

Not every one that saith to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doth the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name, and in thy name have cast out devils, and in thy name have done many wonderful works? And then will I declare to them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

him will I also confess before my Father who is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven.

John testified of him and cried, saying, This is he of whom I said, He that cometh after me is preferred before me, for he was before me. And out of his fulness have we all received, even grace upon grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth was by Jesus Christ. read more.
No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

He is of age: ask him; he will speak concerning himself. His parents said this, because they feared the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed, That if any man should own him to be Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue. Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him. Therefore they called a second time the man that had been blind, and said to him, Give glory to God; we know that this man is a sinner. read more.
He answered and said, That he is a sinner I know not: one thing I know, that I was blind, and now see. They said to him again, What did he to thee? How opened he thine eyes? He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hearken: why would ye hear it again? Are ye also willing to be his disciples? Then they reviled him and said, Thou art a disciple of that fellow; but we are disciples of Moses. We know that God spake to Moses; but we know not this fellow, whence he is. The man answered and said to them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not whence he is; altho' he hath opened my eyes! We know that God heareth not sinners; but if a man be a worshiper of God, and do his will, him he heareth. Since the world began it was not heard, that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind. If this man were not of God, he could do nothing. They answered and said to him, Thou-wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out. Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and having found him, he said to him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? He answered and said, Sir, who is he, that I may believe on him? Jesus said to him, Thou hast both seen him, and he that talketh with thee is he. And he said, Lord, I believe.

That if thou confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thy heart, that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation. For the scripture saith, Every one that believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Therefore whosoever heareth these my sayings, and doth them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fell not; for it was founded on a rock. But every one that heareth these my sayings, and doth them not, shall be likened to a foolish man, who built his house on the sand. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fell, and great was the fall of it.
