Do not speak in the ears of a fool, for he will despise the prudence of thy words.












In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence, and there his sons shall have hope. The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.


The LORD shall be exalted; he who dwells on the heights: for he has filled Zion with judgment and righteousness. And in thy times wisdom and knowledge, and the strength of salvation shall reign: the fear of the LORD shall be his treasure.


Then those that feared the LORD spoke one to another, and the LORD hearkened and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for those that feared the LORD and for those that think in his name.


If ye will fear the LORD and serve him and hear his voice and not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall both ye and also the king that reigns over you continue following the LORD your God.

Lamed Who is the man that fears the LORD? Him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for those that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for those that wait in thee before the sons of men!



Who is among you that fears the LORD? Hearken unto the voice of his slave. He who walked in darkness and had no light; let him trust in the name of the LORD and stay upon his God.


but in every nation he that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.








But they mocked the messengers of God and despised his words and misused his prophets until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, and there was no remedy.



So the posts passed from city to city through the land of Ephraim and Manasseh even unto Zebulun, but they laughed them to scorn and mocked them.

But unto the wicked God saith, What part hast thou to declare my statutes or that thou should take my covenant in thy mouth? Seeing thou dost hate chastening and dost cast my words behind thee.

Behold, I have taught you statutes and rights, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do thus in the midst of the land where ye are about to enter in to possess it. Keep them, therefore, and do them, for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples, who shall hear all these statutes and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
