And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee; and a report went out concerning Him through all the region round about. And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all. And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up; and He went, according to His custom, into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up to read. read more.
And there was given to Him a book of the prophet Isaiah; and, opening the book, He found the place where it had been written, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me; because He anointed Me to publish good tidings to the poor; He hath sent Me to proclaim release to captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to send away the crushed in freedom.

And the Pharisees, seeing it, said to His disciples, Why is your Teacher eating with the tax-collectors and sinners?" And Jesus, hearing it, said, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are ill. But, going, learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice;' for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners."

And the scribes of the Pharisees, seeing that He was eating with the sinners and tax-collectors, said to His disciples, "Why doth He eat with the tax-collectors and sinners?" And Jesus, hearing it, says to them, "Those who are well need not a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners."

And the Pharisees and their scribes were murmuring against the disciples, saying, "Why are ye eating and drinking with the tax-collectors and sinners?" And Jesus, answering, said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."

Is anyone among you sick? let him call for the elders of the assembly; and let them pray over him, having anointed him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and, if he have committed sins, it shall be forgiven him. Confess, therefore, your sins one to another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed. A righteous man's inwrought supplication avails much.
