12 Bible Verses about Abiding With God

And John bore witness, "I saw the Spirit descend as a dove from heaven, and it remained on him.

I did not know him, but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me, 'He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, this is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.'

He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him.

Jesus then said to the Jews who had believed in him, "If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples.

Therefore consider the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who fell, but kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness; otherwise you also will be cut off.
