But, if the unbelieving departs, let him depart. The brother or the sister has not come into bondage in such cases; but God hath called us in peace.
In like manner, ye wives, be subject to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they may, without the word, be gained through the conduct of their wives,

They say to Him, "Why, then, did Moses command to give her a bill of divorcement, and to put her away?" He saith to them, "Moses, in view of the hardness of your heart, permitted you to put away your wives; but from the beginning it has not been so. And I say to you, that whosoever shall put away his wife, except for fornication, and shall marry another, commits adultery."
but I say to you, that every one who puts away his wife, except on account of fornication, makes her commit adultery: and whosoever marries her when put away commits adultery.
Remember the prisoners, as bound with them; those ill-treated, as being yourselves also in the body.
Ye know this, my beloved brethren; but let every man be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for man's wrath works not God's righteousness.
Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but whatever is good for the supplying of the need, that it may give grace to those who hear.
