For what great nation is there, that hath a god so nigh unto them, as Jehovah our God is whensoever we call upon him?

Yea, if thou cry after discernment, And lift up thy voice for understanding;
The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him; And the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to Jehovah; But the prayer of the upright is his delight.

Seek ye Jehovah, all ye meek of the earth, that have kept his ordinances; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye will be hid in the day of Jehovah's anger.
Ask ye of Jehovah rain in the time of the latter rain, even of Jehovah that maketh lightnings; and he will give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.
And when ye pray, ye shall not be as the hypocrites: for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. And this is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us: and if we know that he heareth us whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.
