Jesus answered and said to him, Verily, verily, I say to thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

The like figure to which, even baptism, doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience towards God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

Of his own will he hath begotten us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first-fruits of his creatures.

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit to unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and its flower falleth away:read more.
But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached to you.

But as many as received him, to them he gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

No man can come to me, except the Father who hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Buried with him in baptism, in which also ye are raised with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if the Spirit of God dwelleth in you. Now if any man hath not the Spirit of Christ, he is not his.

Who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
