Wherefore, encourage one another, and edify one another, as indeed ye are doing.
But exhort one another daily, as long as it is called Today, that none of you may be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
But do ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
for the perfecting of the saints for the work of ministration, for the building up of the body of Christ;
Let no foul language proceed out of your mouth, but whatever is good for edification, as the need may be, that it may benefit the hearers;
Finally, brethren, farewell! Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
from whom the whole body, well put together and compacted by means of every supplying joint, is, according to the working of each part in its proportion, building itself up in love.
But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, there is no need of writing to you; for ye yourselves know full well, that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For they that sleep, sleep in the night; and they that are drunken, are drunken in the night; but let us, as we are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation; for God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should together live with him.
How is it then, brethren? When ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a lesson of instruction, hath a revelation, hath a tongue, hath an interpretation; let all things be done for edification.
So also ye, since ye are eager to possess spiritual gifts, be earnest to abound in them to the edification of the church.
but cleaving to truth in love, may grow up in all things unto him who is the head, even Christ;
