For by grace ye have been saved through faith: and this, not of yourselves, it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any one should boast;

Who saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose, and grace which was given us in Christ Jesus before eternal ages,

But, when the kindness and the benevolence of God our Savior appeared, not by works of righteousness which we did, but according to His mercy, He saved us through a washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit;

And we desire that each of you show forth the same diligence to the full assurance of the hope to the end; that ye may not become slothful, but imitators of those who, through faith and long-suffering, inherit the promises.

But are you willing to know, O vain man, that faith apart from works is worthless? Was not Abraham, our father, justified by works, when he offered up Isaac his son on the altar? And, in doing what is noble, let us not grow weary; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Masters, render justice and equity to your servants, knowing that ye also have a Master in Heaven.
