The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouth of fools gush out folly.

One generation will commend your works to another, and will declare your mighty acts.

For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men.

We have sent together with him the brother whose praise in the Good News is known through all the churches.

These all, having had testimony given to them through their faith, did not receive the promise,

Therefore the LORD will wait, that he may be gracious to you; and therefore he will be exalted, that he may have mercy on you, for the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for him.

Blessed is the man who endures temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which he promised to those who love him.

but in everything commending ourselves, as servants of God, in great endurance, in afflictions, in hardships, in distresses, in beatings, in imprisonments, in riots, in labors, in watchings, in fastings; in pureness, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in sincere love,read more.
in the word of truth, in the power of God; by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, by glory and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true; as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold, we live; as punished, and not killed; as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
