Give to every man that asketh thee, and of him that taketh away thy goods, ask them not again. And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. I beseech you therefore to confirm your love toward him. For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye were obedient in all things. And as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. Should'st not thou also have had compassion on thy fellow-servant, as I had pity on thee? And his lord being wroth, delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due to him. So likewise will my heavenly Father do to you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Take heed to yourselves: if thy brother sin against thee, rebuke him, and if he repent, forgive him. And if he sin against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day return to thee, saying, I repent, thou shalt forgive him.
