So, my dearly loved brothers, whom I long to see, my joy and crown, by the help of the Lord keep on standing firm, dearly loved friends.

And they devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to fellowship with one another, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. A sense of reverence seized everyone, and many wonders and wonder-works were done by the apostles.

And all the believers lived together and held all they had as common goods to be shared by one another. And so they continued to sell their property and goods and to distribute the money to all, as anyone had special need.

Now there was but one heart and soul in the vast number of those who had become believers, and not one of them claimed that anything that he had was his own, but they shared everything that they had as common property. So with great power the apostles continued to give their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and God's favor rested richly on them all. For none of them was in want, for as many of them as were owners of farms or houses proceeded to sell them, one by one, and continued to bring the money received for the things soldread more.
and to put it at the disposal of the apostles; then distribution was continuously made to everyone in proportion to his need.

So the disciples decided to send a contribution, each in proportion to his prosperity, to help the brothers who lived in Judea.

for He who had been at work in Peter for his apostleship to the Jews had been at work in me too for the apostleship to the heathen -- and because they recognized the favor God had shown me, James, Cephas, and John, the so-called pillar apostles, gave Barnabas and me the right hand of fellowship, with the understanding that we should go to the heathen and they to the Jews.

Every time I remember you I thank my God, and always do it with joy in every entreaty I make for all of you, for your cooperation in spreading the good news, from the first day you heard it until now.

With this in view we are always praying for you too, that our God may make you worthy of His call, and by His power fully satisfy your every desire for goodness, and complete every activity of your faith, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you and you through union with Him, in accordance with the favor of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

So practice confessing your sins to one another, and praying for one another, that you may be cured. An upright man's prayer, when it keeps at work, is very powerful.

If possible, so far as it depends on you, live in peace with everybody.

I beg Euodia and I beg Syntyche to live in harmony by the help of the Lord. And I solemnly beg you, my true comrade, keep on cooperating with those two women, because they shared with me the struggle in spreading the good news, together with Clement and the rest of my fellow-workers, whose names are in the book of life.

Is never glad when wrong is done, but always glad when truth prevails;

Above everything else keep your love for one another fervent, because love covers up a multitude of sins.

Brothers, if anybody is caught in the very act of doing wrong, you who are spiritual, in the spirit of gentleness, must set him right; each of you continuing to think of yourself, for you may be tempted too. Practice bearing one another's burdens, and in this way carry out the law of Christ.

My brothers, if any one of you has wandered away from the truth, and someone brings him back, you may be sure that whoever brings a sinner back from his evil ways will save the man's soul from death, and cover up a multitude of sins.
