5 Bible Verses about Heresy

I know thy works, and thy labor, and thy patience, and that thou canst not bear those that are evil: and thou hast tried those who say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars; and hast borne trouble, and hast patience;

Forasmuch as we have heard, that some who went out from us, have troubled you by their discourses, unsettling your minds, saying, ye must be circumcised, and keep the law; to whom we gave no such commission;

but there be some that disturb you, and would subvert the gospel of Christ.

For if he, that cometh to you, preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached; or if ye receive another Spirit which ye have not received, or another gospel which ye have not embraced, ye might indeed bear with him.

and that because of the false brethren clandestinely introduced, who had crept in as spies upon our liberty, which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:

reject therefore such an heretical man, after the first and second admonition; knowing that such a one is perverted, and sinneth as being self-condemned.

Now if any one come unto you, and bringeth not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, nor wish him success: for he, that biddeth him welcome, is partaker of his evil deeds.

And when they brought them to the governors, they said, These men cause great disturbance in our city, for they are Jews, and teach customs, which it is not lawful for us to receive, nor practise, who are Romans.

And when they had given them many stripes, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely.

nor can they prove the things of which they now accuse me. But this I confess unto thee, that after the way, which they call heresy, so do I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law, and the prophets: having hope in God, (which they themselves also expect) that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust. read more.
And on this account do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence both towards God and towards men.
