Even to this present hour, we both hunger and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain abode, And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and off-scouring of all things to this day. I do not write these things to shame you, but as my beloved children I warn you. For if ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers; for I have begotten you in Christ Jesus through the gospel. I beseech you therefore, be ye followers of me.
Brethren, be ye followers together of me, and mark them who walk so as ye have us for an example.
For yourselves know how ye ought to imitate us: we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you, Neither did we eat any man's bread for nothing, but wrought with labour and toil, night and day, that we might not burden any of you. Not because we have not power; but that we might make ourselves an example to you, that ye might imitate us.

But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned, and been fully assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them,
And the things which thou hast heard from me before many witnesses, these commit to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.
Thou therefore that teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? Thou that proclaimest, a man should not steal, dost thou steal?
