He that saith, he abideth in him, ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
And we all with unveiled face, beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image, from glory to glory, as by the Spirit of the Lord.

And he that taketh not his cross and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
This he said, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And having said this, he saith to him, Follow me.
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable to his death:
Seeing then Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind:
It shall not be so among you; but whosoever desireth to be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever desireth to be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest to your souls.
And sitting down, he called the twelve and saith to them, If any man desire to be first, let him be the last of all, and the servant of all.
There was also a contention among them, Which of them was greatest. And he said to them, The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and they that exercise authority upon them have the title of benefactors. But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger, and he that is chief as he that serveth.
If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet, ye ought also to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye also may do as I have done to you.
Look not every one at his own things, but every one also at the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus,
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
A new commandment I give you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
