for they are not even able to die any longer, because they are like the angels and are sons of God, [because they] are sons of the resurrection.
so that you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, also an heir through God. But at that time [when you] did not know God, you were enslaved to the things which by nature are not gods. But now, [because you] have come to know God, or rather have come to be known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and miserable elemental spirits? Do you want to be enslaved to them all over again?
Jesus replied to them, "Truly, truly I say to you, that everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin. And the slave does not remain in the household {forever}; the son remains {forever}. So if the son sets you free, you will be truly free.
For you have not received a spirit of slavery [leading] to fear again, but you have received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, "Abba! Father!"
See what sort of love the Father has given to us: that we should be called children of God, and we are! Because of this the world does not know us: because it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that whenever he is revealed we will be like him, because we will see him just as he is.
that the creation itself also will be set free from its servility to decay, into the glorious freedom of the children of God.
in order that you may become blameless and innocent, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverted generation, among whom you shine as stars in the world,
Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that whenever he is revealed we will be like him, because we will see him just as he is.
And it will be in the place where it was said to them, 'You [are] not my people,' there they will be called 'sons of the living God.'"
For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus,
While you have the light, believe in the light, in order that you may become sons of light." Jesus said these [things], and [then] he went away [and] was hidden from them.
for you were formerly darkness, but now [you are] light in the Lord. Live like children of light

and if children, also heirs--heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer together [with him] so that we may also be glorified together [with him].
And if you [are] Christ's, then you are descendants of Abraham, heirs according to the promise.
so that, having been justified by his grace, we may become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
In the same way God, [because he] wanted to show even more to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of his resolve, guaranteed [it] with an oath,
For both the one who sanctifies and the ones who are sanctified [are] all from one, for which reason he is not ashamed to call them brothers, saying, "I will proclaim your name to my brothers; in the midst of the assembly I will sing in praise of you."
But he answered [and] said to the one who told him, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?" And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, "Behold my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father [who is] in heaven, he is my brother and sister and mother."
because [those] whom he foreknew, he also predestined [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, so that he should be the firstborn among many brothers.
Therefore he was obligated to be made like his brothers in all [respects], in order that he could become a merciful and faithful high priest in the things relating to God, in order to make atonement for the sins of the people.
We know that we have passed over from death to life because we love the brothers. The one who does not love remains in death.
We love, because he first loved us. If anyone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar, for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen is not able to love God whom he has not seen.
And I heard a loud voice in heaven saying, "Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, because the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, the one who accuses them before our God day and night.
Consequently, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens of the saints and members of the household of God,
So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all [people], and especially to those who belong to the household of faith.
who was faithful to the one who appointed him, as Moses also [was] in his household. For this one is considered worthy of greater glory than Moses, inasmuch as the one who builds it has greater honor than the house. For every house is built by someone, but the one who built all [things] [is] God.read more.
And Moses [was] faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony to the things that would be spoken, but Christ [was faithful] as a son over his house, whose house we are, if we hold fast to our confidence and the hope we can be proud of.
