with all prayer and supplication praying at every opportunity in the Spirit, and watching thereunto in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints;
but let him ask in faith, nothing doubting; for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, wind-driven and tossed.

And this is the confidence which we have toward Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us;
saying, "Father, if Thou art willing, remove this cup from Me; nevertheless, not My will, but Thine, be done."
I desire, therefore, that the men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and disputing;
God is a spirit; and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."
Let us, therefore, come with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and find grace for seasonable help.
night and day praying exceedingly that we may see your face, and perfect the deficiencies in your faith?
Elijah was a man of like nature with us; and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and it rained not on the earth for three years and six months;

And he would not for a time; but afterward he said within himself, 'Though I fear not God, nor regard man; yet, because this widow occasions me trouble, I will avenge her, lest, by her persistent coming, she wear me out.'" And the Lord said, "Hear what the judge of unrighteousness says. And will not God avenge His elect, who are crying to Him day and night, and He is long suffering over them?
Now she that is really a widow, and left alone, has set her hope on God, and continues in supplications and prayers, night and day.
Be anxious for nothing; but, in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God:
