And I will afflict the seed of David because of this, but not for ever.

And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch, his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer, his sons, smote him with the sword and fled into the land of Ararat. And Esarhaddon, his son, reigned in his stead.

Habakkuk 1:6-11

For, behold, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which march through the breadth of the earth to possess the dwellingplaces that are not theirs. She is terrible and dreadful: from her herself shall go forth their rights and their grandeur.
