They only asked us to remember the poor?which very thing I was also zealous to do.

What good is it, my brothers, if a man says he has faith, but has no works? Can faith save him? And if a brother or sister is naked and in lack of daily food, and one of you tells them, "Go in peace, be warmed and filled;" and yet you did not give them the things the body needs, what good is it?read more.
Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself.

If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

"Then they will also answer, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not help you?' These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
