The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, thou will not despise.
Because even though I grieved you in the letter, I am not remorseful (even though I was remorseful), for I perceive that that letter grieved you, even though for an hour. Now I rejoice, not that ye were grieved, but that ye were grieved for repentance. For ye were grieved toward God, so that ye might suffer loss from us in nothing. then hear thou from heaven, even from thy dwelling-place, their prayer and their supplications, and maintain their case, and forgive thy people who have sinned against thee.
When he killed them, then they inquired after him, and they returned and sought God earnestly. And they remembered that God was their rock, and the Most High God their redeemer. But they flattered him with their mouth, and lied to him with their tongue.read more.
