And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin.
But God be thanked, that you were the servants of sin, but you have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
Know you not, that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are to whom you obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

For this Hagar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answers to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. But now, after you have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn you again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage?
Stand fast therefore in the liberty with which Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that we should no longer serve sin.
For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, by which we cry, Abba, Father.
