And Solomon built Gezer and Bethhoron, the lower, and Baalath and Tadmor in the land of the wilderness, likewise all the cities of store that Solomon had and cities for his chariots and cities for his horsemen and that which Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem and in Lebanon and in all the land of his dominion.
And he built Tadmor in the wilderness and all the store cities, which he built in the wilderness. Likewise, he rebuilt Bethhoron the upper and Bethhoron the lower, fenced cities with walls, gates, and bars; and Baalath and all the store cities that Solomon had and all the chariot cities and the cities of the horsemen and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem and in Lebanon and throughout all the land of his dominion.
And Jehoshaphat waxed great exceedingly; and he built in Judah castles and cities of store.
And Hezekiah had exceedingly great riches and honour, and he made himself treasures of silver and of gold and of precious stones and of spices and of shields and of all manner of pleasant vessels, storehouses also for the increase of grain and wine and oil and stalls for all manner of beasts and places for cattle. Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. Do not say unto thy neighbour, Go and come again and tomorrow I will give when thou hast it by thee.
There are those who scatter, and more is added unto them; and there are those who withhold more than is just, but come to poverty.
Do not eat the bread of anyone who has an evil eye, neither desire his dainty foods; for as he thinks in his soul, so is he; Eat and drink, he shall say unto thee, but his heart is not with thee. Didst thou eat thy part? Thou shalt vomit it up and lose thy sweet words.
He that hastens to be rich has an evil eye and does not consider that poverty shall come upon him.
But this I say, He who sows sparingly shall reap also sparingly, and he who sows in blessings shall also reap blessings.
And he said unto them, Take heed and beware of all covetousness; for a man's life consists not in the abundance of the things which he possesses.
Thou shalt eat, but not be satisfied; and thy casting down shall be in the midst of thee; and thou shalt take, but shalt not be saved; and that which thou dost save, I will give it up to the sword.

And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? If ye then are not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest? Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothes the grass, which is today in the field and tomorrow is cast into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? And seek not what ye shall eat or what ye shall drink, neither be ye high minded. For all these things do the Gentiles of the world seek after, and your Father knows that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added unto you.
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat or what ye shall drink, nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than food, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air, for they sow not, neither do they reap nor gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?read more.
And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they toil not, neither do they spin; and yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Therefore, if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, With what shall we be clothed? For the Gentiles seek after all these things.) For your heavenly Father knows that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow, for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the affliction thereof.
And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together and took his journey into a far country and there wasted his estate with riotous living.
He that loves pleasure shall be a poor man; he that loves wine and oil shall not be rich.
Do not be among those who are drunk with wine; nor among gluttonous eaters of food; for the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty, and drowsiness shall cause them to wear rags.
Whosoever loves wisdom causes his father to rejoice, but he that maintains harlots shall lose his inheritance.
And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man who had a steward, and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust corrupt and where thieves do not break through nor steal; for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Wise men keep knowledge, but the mouth of the foolish is near unto calamity.

But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasures up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who will render to everyone according to his deeds:
to those who persevered in well doing, glory and honour and incorruption, to those who seek eternal life; but unto those that are contentious and do not obey the truth, but are persuaded by unrighteousness, indignation and wrath. Tribulation and anguish shall be upon every human soul that does evil, the Jew first and also the Greek;read more.
but glory, honour, and peace to everyone that works good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
Reward her even as she rewarded you and pay her double according to her works; in the cup which she has given thee to drink, give her double. As much as she has glorified herself and lived deliciously, give her that much torment and sorrow; for she says in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
