16 Bible Verses about Unkindness

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil-speaking be put away from you with all malice. And be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted; forgiving one another; as God also for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Ye have heard, that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you and persecute you:

But I say to you that hear, Love your enemies; do good to them that hate you, Bless them that curse you, pray for them that despitefully use you.

bless and curse not.

But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

The Lord answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each of you loose his ox or ass from the stall on the sabbath, and lead him away to watering!

And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?

Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

Then shall he say also to them on his left-hand, Depart from me, ye cursed into the everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry, and ye gave me no meat; I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in; naked, and ye clothed me not; sick and in prison, and ye visited me not.

And sent messengers before his face, and they went and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him. But they did not receive him, because his face was, as tho' he would go to Jerusalem.

Forget not to entertain strangers, for hereby some have entertained angels unawares.

Can that faith save him? If a brother or a sister be naked, and want daily food, And one of you say to them, Depart in peace; be ye warmed and filled, but give them not the things needful for the body, what doth it profit?

in that he did good, giving rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling their hearts with food and gladness.

Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness, and forbearance, and long suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God! Toward them that fell severity; but toward thee goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: else shalt thou also be cut off.

That he might shew in the ages to come the exceeding riches of his grace, in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
