And He Who supplieth seed to the sower, and bread for food, will supply and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;
Then He saith to His disciples, "The harvest, indeed, is abundant, but the laborers few; pray ye, therefore, the Lord of the harvest, that He send forth laborers into His harvest.
And, in doing what is noble, let us not grow weary; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
And another angel came forth out of the Temple, crying with a great voice to Him Who was sitting upon the cloud, "Send forth Thy sickle, and reap; because the hour to reap came, because the harvest of the earth was fully dried. And He Who was sitting upon the cloud sent forth His sickle, and the earth was reaped.
Suffer both to grow together until the harvest. And, in the season of harvest, I will say to the reapers, Gather up first the tares, and bind them into bundles, with the view of burning them; but gather the wheat into my barn.'"
But, when the fruit permits, straightway he puts forth the sickle, because the harvest has come."
And He began to speak to them in parables, "A man planted a vineyard, and set a hedge about it, and dug a wine-vat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into another country. He had yet one, a beloved son; he sent him to them last, saying, 'They will pay deference to my son.' But those husbandmen said among themselves, 'This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.' And, taking him, they killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard. What, therefore, will the lord of the vineyard do! He will come, and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard to others.
And He said to them, "The harvest, indeed, is great, but the laborers few. Pray ye, therefore, the Lord of the harvest, that He urge forth laborers into His harvest.
Say not ye, 'There are yet four months, and the harvest is coming?' Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes, and view the fields, because they are white for harvest. He who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit unto life eternal; that both he that sows and he that reaps may rejoice together.
And I do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come to you (and was hindered hitherto), that I might have some fruit in you also, even as in the rest of the gentiles.
Or doth He say it assuredly for our sake? Yes, for our sake it was written; because he that plows ought to plow in hope; and he that threshes ought to thresh in hope of partaking. If we sowed for you spiritual things, is it a great matter, if we shall reap your carnal things?
All chastening, indeed, for the present seems not to be joyous, but grievous; but afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained thereby.

Then, leaving the multitudes, He went into the house; and His disciples came to Him, saying, "Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field." And, answering, He said, "He that sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world: and the good seed, these are the sons of the Kingdom; but the tares are the sons of the evil one; and the enemy that sowed them is the Devil; and the harvest is the end of the age; and the reapers are angels. As, therefore, the tares are gathered up, and are burned with fire, so shall it be in the end of the age. The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of the Kingdom all the stumbling-blocks, and those who do iniquity; and they will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be the weeping, and the gnashing of teeth! Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He that has ears let him hear.
And, as the people were in expectation, and all were reasoning in their hearts concerning John, whether perhaps he himself were the Christ, John answered, saying to them all, "I, indeed, immerse you in water; but He is coming, Who is mightier than I??he latchet of Whose sandals I am not worthy to loose??e will immerse you in the Holy Spirit and in fire; Whose fan is in His hand, thoroughly to cleanse His threshing-floor, and to gather the wheat into His granary; but the chaff He will burn up with unquenchable fire."
