'Deed' in the Bible

Joseph said to them, “What is this deed that you have done? Do you not know that such a man as I can indeed practice divination?”

then you shall bring out that man or that woman who has done this evil deed to your gates, that is, the man or the woman, and you shall stone them to death.

However, because by this deed you have given occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme, the child also that is born to you shall surely die.”

Jesus answered them, “I did one deed, and you all marvel.

While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not under your control? Why is it that you have conceived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.”

For I will not presume to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me, resulting in the obedience of the Gentiles by word and deed,

You have become arrogant and have not mourned instead, so that the one who had done this deed would be removed from your midst.

Let such a person consider this, that what we are in word by letters when absent, such persons we are also in deed when present.
